SILVER SPUR CTR
Errington BC June 24, 2001
53 horses and riders turned out from all parts of Vancouver Island to partake in the Silver Spur Riding Clubs CTR on June 24th 2001. First time Ride Manager Murray MacKenzie (Coombs) was pleased with the turnout and the complete success of the Ride. In 2000 Murray together with his horse Lucky won BCCTRAs "Rookie Of The Year" award.
The CTR was held in the Coombs/Errington area of Vancouver Island, northwest from Parksville.
The Level II riders were taken up to the top of a mountain lookout and back down while the Level III riders traversed the Robatham Ridge before descending back down.
Most of the riders were new to the sport of CTR but had come from all different kinds of backgrounds of horse disciplines. From english riding and dressage to western and barrel racing
