CHEMAINUS RIVER RIDE Chemainus, BC October 14th, 2001 Ride Manager: Gerald McDonald Trail Manager: Bruce Christison This CTR was originally scheduled to be run in mid July, but due to a serious fire alert in the Chemainus area the ride could not be held. Ride Manager Gerald McDonald rescheduled the ride for mid October but due to the time of the year and winter fuzzies already popping out on most horses, attendance was very low. Word has it that it rained heavily the night before the ride but then cleared up and was nice and sunny for the ride. What luck! Vet recorder Sharon Dubyna from Nanaimo stated that although attendance was poor, all who did ride or helped, enjoyed themselves on the day and to a great BBQ afterwards.
